Cast of Pern

Cast lists include any person, dragon, fire-lizard, or other creature, dead or alive, named within a book or story.   Characters named only in the 'dragondex' material at the end of the story are not included as primary characters, though their names may appear elsewhere on lists when associated with others (e.g. a dragon's name given only in the 'dragondex' will not have his/her own entry, but will be listed in the riders entry).

Weight I give to various sources:
Primary source for all info is the stories themselves.  Where the stories contain variant spellings, I use the most common spelling, but try to always note alternate spellings, especially when no spelling is dominantly used.  Some info does come from cross-checking between different stories.  Secondary source for info is any cast list in the back of the books; this information is assumed correct unless contradicted by the text.  I may eventually use the DLG as a tertiary source, where it doesn't contradict the text or cast lists.

Considerable effort is put into these charts to ensure completeness and correctness of information, and lack of typographical errors.   However, if you find any errors or know missing information PLEASE EMAIL sariel @ srellim.org !  Many thanks to Anneli and Elrhan for their input and corrections!
